I only setup a personal Windows machine so far, but I did get approval from Security to deploy our standard Windows 11 config. As long as it is fully managed they are ok with it. Similar to what we already have with Hyper V and VM Ware.
Mac's are one of the easiest devices to manage. Have your team look into it. You can literally set them up without removing from the box. I could have a device shipped to you, directly from Apple, that sets itself up when you turn it on. Easy peasy compared to Windows.

I do wish though that I could use a PIN to login. If they can do it on a phone then why not on the Mac. A few other niggles I am sorting through but overall first impressions are good.
You can change your password to be just a few numbers if you want. Less secure than a longer password, but like you say most of us has a six digit (I guess) number to unlock our phones. 🙂

And like mentioned, using Touch ID will mean you don’t have to enter the password as much. Will still be required from time to time, though.

I imagine there is some personal bias in your assessment. I didn't find mac any easier to setup than windows. Windows is very easy and its file management is far superior. Took me longer to configure my mac than windows.

I find windows to be better out the gate along with finding it easier to customize compared to how mac buries some of its configuration ability. I started out using both mac and windows at a very young age and always found windows more intuitive in many ways so I certainly have a bias, while I like macs in certain ways, each system has its strengths and weakness.

Bias from me would be towards SolarisOS.
I have over a decade of experience managing 30,000+ Apple devices and 10's of thousands of Windows devices.

That would be an opinion and I cannot disagree with that. Have you ever remotely setup a Windows computer? Have you ever remotely setup a Mac? 4 out of 5 dentists would agree that setting up business Mac is easier than a Windows computer. I was responding to business management of devices, in reference to the Baritone_Guy.

This might just be a user familiarity comparison. I use both. I have 5 debian servers at home, two macs (m5 max 128GB) and two Windows ( both would be considered pretty high end: 128GB ram, 4090s, ect ) computers. I definitely prefer Unix based OSs to Windows, but started with Windows and continue to use it to this day. Managing corporate devices, windows are very painful, macs are easy.
