He responded with:

These are configured as they're ordered.

We do not prepare orders unless they have been paid for.

It would be as follows

2015 model year
15.4" Retina Display
16GB RAM
Quad Core i7 2.8GHz(4.0GHz Turbo)
2TB SSD

So sorry for the inconvenience,

So I'm confused. Maybe that means the machine isn't configured yet, so he can't take that screenshot of the hardware info?

I have one of these, and my only wish would be able to upgrade the RAM from 16GB to 64GB. I'm pushing two TB monitors along with the Retina display, and other than fan noise, it runs great! I'm using an Elgato TB2 dock to have additional ports (because, why not?) and I've been happy. Only issue is when trying to run VMWare or on a Teams meeting with video and screen sharing - it starts to struggle at this point (hence the desire for more RAM).

They don't necessarily even have to have the machine in hand when you order it. They can potentially just order one from someone or someplace, refurb it, make the mod and then ship it to you.

Extra RAM would help me out as well. I'm using three machines right now and they are relatively lightly loaded but, combined, they do a lot of work and more work than a 2015 MacBook Pro could handle.

I'm using a 2014 MBP 15, 2015 MBP 15, 2008 Dell Studio XPS. Combined 12 cores/24 threads, 80 GB RAM, 2x4K + 1 QHD displays.

Yeah, agreed. I get so excited when I shop for Mac Pros and regularly consider machines with like, 64 GB of RAM. That's so much! Apple's new MB Pros have more RAM, as you know, but I think the keyboards are terrible. They are completely brittle and uninspiring to type on; I don't know what Apple was thinking. Then again I often wonder what they were thinking.

I also found this quad core with fairly low cycles on the battery, original owner. The only thing that worries me about a deal like this is that there is no warranty, no returns. So, I may just go for the configured machine with the 2TB intel SSD.

Actually when you buy something like that on E-Bay you can usually get a one or two year warranty from Square Trade. Not sure how good they are but they are available.

I tried a 2019 16" MacBook Pro and I like the new keyboards. They are pretty nice machines. I am thinking I am going to let things settle a while before making the plunge to a new Laptop though since this forum seems to be full of issues with both the 13" and the 16".
