My Nehalem based MacPro duo-core tower is slow to start up. A look at the console shows the following error message is being reiterated many times per second:

com.apple.SystemStarter[32] Break on __THE_PROCESS_HAS_FORKED_AND_YOU_CANNOT_USE_THIS_COREFOUNDATION_FUNCTIONALITY___YOU_MUST_EXEC___() to debug.

I have looked in the system and do not see a preferences file or other command file named com.apple.SystemStarter

There is a process numbered 32 visible in the Activity Monitor that is named SystemStarter. Interesting enough, if I kill it that process and name are removed from the list but the error messages keep recurring in the Console window. It seems like an resource-intensive process, consuming 585 mb on virtual memory on the hard drive and 680 kb in RAM.

Any insight or help is appreciated.
