For my work work I need to constantly switch back and forth between the phone and browser applications. Whether using chrome or Safari I will have the same problems. Every single time I switch back to the browser it shows me a gray picture of the website and refreshes. This is maddening because it requires me to re-log in to my companies website. On a average day I will and up logging in between 50 and 100 times.

I thought that this may be a hardware issue with my phone. However I needed a replacement for a unrelated problem. The new phone works great for the first week or so then started having the same problems. I'm not sure if it is the lack of RAM for some software issue.

Does anyone have any idea on how to keep a browser in the ram when in background

Buy something like the Nexus 6, or wait for the new iPhones in September. What you describe is an issue that plagues me daily, although I can imagine your frustration levels are even higher with all that logging-in you do!

Lol, is it really necessary to post 100 posts every day complaining about the lack of RAM in the 6/6+?

This is making the phone unusable for me, and was not a issue on older phones. What kills me is the week I had of it functioning correctly. I wonder if their is one certain app causing it, or just a limitation of the ram.

I never start the threads but sure I will lend my weight to the debate when others start threads about RAM. Got to keep the debate balanced #

Might I suggest a different browser?

Try Dolphin and see if it works for you. It's in the app store.

To the very best of my knowledge I have never started a 6+ RAM thread. I participate in the ones others post for sure! #
I have kind of the same rep (?) I guess you could say.

I've been accused of constantly beating the Space Gray is not black drum for some time. I never start those threads either.

Seriouly, like his complaining on boards has any impact on what Apple will or won't do.

The more people who complain the better. I'm pretty sure that Apple have staff who monitor user forums. Where better to get real world feedback? Like I said, I have never started a 6+ RAM thread, so this constant complaining is actually fuelled by other people. Of course I join in, just like the apologists join in. It hasn't escaped my attention that the same people jump into these RAM threads from both sides of the camp.#

It's ram, my iPad air 2 with 2gb does not have this issue. Only choice is either android or wait for the 6S.

Its not a giant issue for me because I don't really work that much on the phone.

The iPhone works great for probably 99% of people if not more. Sorry, you're leading this crusade and the masses aren't following you.

Not so. More than a few people feel that the iPhone 6 is a half-baked product and a significant downgrade in terms of smoothness, immediacy and multitasking capabilities compared to previous iPhones. Also, you can't just dig a figure of 99% out of thin air to back up your own opinion.

It might be a few more people when it comes to the Plus, but not as many when it comes to the regular 6.

Sales figures speak for themselves.

I bought one too, so what does that prove? I purchased my 6+ expecting the performance to be at least as good as my iPhone 5 in most areas and better in some others. The fact it is much worse at multitasking was not to be expected, and nor should it have been. Sales figures don't equate to customer satisfaction any more than iOS8 uptake figures mean that people prefer it to any previous versions of iOS.

Yeah, apologies. I was specifically talking about the 6+. However, the iPhone 6 and arguably 5S too are still down on RAM when you consider that the 32Bit iPhone 5 shipped with 1GB and yet uses much less of it.

Yeah, we get it, iPhone needs more RAM. I agree. A lot of people agree.
