Hi there,

I've purchased a 2013 MacBook Air last week, and since booting it up, I've been experiencing a constant 'vignette' type effect, where the outer regions of the screen are darker than anywhere else. Like a kind of reverse backlighting.

Is this a common/known about complaint?
I've got an appointment with Apple later today about it. I'm going to check the in-store computers for a direct comparison.

P.S. The bottom of the screen has the issue far worse than the sides/top.

P.P.S Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I'm new here!

Definitely doesn't look normal. I'm sure they will offer you a replacement right then and there upon looking at the screen. Let us know how it goes!

The bottom of all of the airs apparently have this issue and it's just how they're made. I also took mine to the genius people and we compared with the other in store displays and they all had the same issue. Quite a shame if you ask me, the computer is awesome except for the display.
