Constant SMC reset needed?!? :(

I have a brand spanking new MacBook Pro and it requires about weekly SMC resets. Why?!
If the thing was in good working order when they sold it to me I shouldn't need to reset that SMC because the dam fan speeds up and won't turn off...for no apparent reason. Any thoughts people? Thank you. 🙂

if it's brand new, take it back. obviously there is a hardware manufacturing defect.

Are you sure that there isn't some process that's running at a high percentage of CPU time and causing the fans to run at high speed? Have you opened Activity Monitor and looked at "all processes?"
