Greetings,

I'm running 10.5.7, I've had this issue for a long time, I've tried changing the router channel, I've checked other devices for interference, but for some reason my macbook still just enters phases where it will drop connection 5-20 times in an hour, the weird thing is that it often goes from 4/5 bars to 0 instantly, I would have thought there'd be a gradual decline.

Is there anything else I can do? I'm using a Netgear router, can't get the model name, but the thing is, my iPhone and Xbox 360 never disconnect.

First, make sure your Netgear router has the latest firmware installed. While there are standards, not everyone follows them exactly or there are additional options that can be used and when those options in the standard are used, they cause problems.

Second, the NIC could be going bad.
