Aren't these the same guys who "couldn't recommend" the iPhone 4 because of the antenna issue that wasn't even a real problem? Do we trust them?
To your point, you have evidence to prove it can bend from normal use? It's been a week and if things like that happen, we should hear more from people. Other than the unboxed guy video and all the media around it together with some incidents, I still have not heard anything new.
I have the 6+ since launch day and put it in my pocket a couple hours everyday, it's still straight to my standard. Is it stronger than my previous 5S? It may be not, but I am willing to sacrifice one aspect in compensation for the improvements in many others. Like when I moved from 4S to 5, though I admit that the 4 and 4S have the best design, in my opinion.
The money that Consumer Reports makes in ad revenue from this video far exceeds the cost of the phones they destroyed.

Just a day after Apple issued its first statement regarding the ongoing complaints that the iPhone 6 Plus bends in user pockets, Consumer Reports has released its test results for how "bendable" Apple's new phones are. In summary, the results show that the new phones are far stronger than what some testimonies have suggested in the past few days.
brightcove.createExperiences();To test the phones, Consumer Reports put them through the "three-point flexural test", which has the phone supported at two ends and has pressure applied at a third point, alongside competitors like the HTC One (m8), Samsung Galaxy Note 3, LG G3 and iPhone 5.
The results showed that the 6 Plus was actually stronger than the iPhone 6, starting to deform at 90 pounds of force and having its screen and case separate at 110 pounds of force. The iPhone 6 started to deform at 70 pounds of force and started coming apart at 100 pounds of force. The HTC One (m8) performed the worst in Consumer Reports' test, deforming at 70 pounds of force and coming apart at 90 pounds of force.
iPhone 6 Plus after Consumer Reports' testThe LG G3 started to deform and come apart at 130 pounds of force while the iPhone 5 deformed at 130 pounds of force and came apart at 150 pounds of force. The Galaxy Note 3, on the other hand, deformed and came apart at 150 pounds of force. Consumer Reports notes that while other phones, like the iPhone 6 and HTC One, were still functioning after deforming and coming apart, the Note 3 stopped working right away.
Overall, the magazine notes that while none of the phones they tested were indestructible, all devices tested should hold up fine under everyday use.

This is the ultimate bendgate video: uncut, new iphone, in public, with witnesses.
I wonder what Apple's reaction to this will be.

Too bad forum members have already dismissed Consumer Reports: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/969671/
Oh wait... they are saying something good about Apple? Consumer Reports is totally legit!![]()
Huh?The money that Consumer Reports makes in ad revenue from this video far exceeds the cost of the phones they destroyed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumer_ReportsThey accept no advertising, pay for all the products they test, and, as a not for profit organization, they have no shareholders.

Watch this. This one is more easily bendable than the first. This is real life testing forget the lab testing.
wait a minute. wait a minute. sooooo the iphone and other newer smartphones are more likely to bend than predecessors? i wish they bent an iphone 4. that'd be interesting to see. i'd like to see some quality devices coming from these companies that are charging so much money for them. for $650 i expect more durability.

How the *** is that real world testing? Nobody does that with their phone. And anybody who does needs to have their head examined. I'd love to know where this guy is getting all these 6 Pluses since they're supposedly so difficult to find right now.
why can't just a reputable source such as consumer reports, or any of the tech blog, try to replicate the bending by hand test.
We know the testing machines don't bend it easily, we get that, Apple tested it, Consumer reports tested it....
And then we have a guy that everybody claims to be a fake, easily bending the phone by hand.
Can't we just have a reputable source do that test?
If you think this is going to silence the bend gate morons you're wrong. these dumbasses are going to keep bitching and making fun for years.
there is no silencing senseless apple haters, especially since it seems to be hip nowadays.
Just curious, how long have you owned your current phone? Is it bent? I've owned an iPhone 4S, 5 and currently own a 5s. I never had issues with bending with any of those phones.
This is nonsense. There trying to cover up things up for apple. If peoples iphones have been bending then that's apples fault. No need to come up with false claims of other phones being the same or weaker cause that isn't true. Nobody has been claiming other phones bending in there pockets so why make up lies. I put my phone in my backpocket all the time and don't even have to worry about it bending.
I'd wager most people here cannot bench press a pair of 60lb dumbells.
