Contact sync always off by 1. Why?

For some odd reason, my MobileMe contacts have 533 contacts and my iPhone has 532. Why is this? They seem to be syncing ok. If I add a contact to iphone, it adds it to MobileMe but it still is off by one. It will go to 533 on phone and 534 MobileMe.

I am just curious of why the count is off. Any input?

Update: I got the problem fixed. The problem is the two are not syncing well (iphone and mobileme). I deleted an contact on my iphone and it never deleted it from my mobileme account which was causing the mobileme contact list to be higher by 1 contact.

Now the question arises, if the two are in sync, why did this happen? 😕

This never happen with my exchange account. Now I am wondering if I messed up by canceling my exchange account for mobileme.
