As the title suggests, the Contact Us response is too slow. Leaving us with no responses for more than a week is unacceptable, and maybe it is time to bring on some paid staffers here to handle that inbox. It's counterintuitive to the Contact form!

Yes, it's that's a great idea in principle and I can't criticize nor justify the amount of time for some "contact us" responses. There are major businesses that take a work-week to get back to their clients with an answer. And my guess is these queries get queued up and handled in the order in which they were received. There is probably much research and discussion that goes into this, combined with the probable number of requests and it takes a few days to return an answer.

Paid staffers for this type of thing may or may not be the answer.

Now this is a troll thread LOL.

Your gripe is with having been bounced out of PRSI. Hardly an earth shattering matter since the subforum is just a frill, a nod to non-tech interests of people who generally come to MacRumors on technical matters.

Why not find something else to do instead of fretting that you are in a queue? You didn't pay anything to sign up here, and your complaint is documented already, it's just pixels on a page: your ice cream is not melting while you wait with it in hand to show the customer service staff that the cherry vanilla had chocolate in it instead of fruit.

I know nothing about why @Videomanmac wants a quicker response and whether it is justified or not. I can say, in my recent experience, it has taken over a month to get a reply from the “contact us” link on more than one occasion – long enough that I had completely forgotten why I had contacted them in the first place.

You will receive a response soon, most likely within 24 hours. The reason it's taken longer than normal is 1) it's required a significant amount of research and collaboration between staff; and 2) your public posts related to it have presented a moving target that we've had to keep up with while drafting the response.

Fair enough, however, an email saying thank you for your email, please allow us to do some research would suffice :)

Maybe that’s the point ;)

I've never had this issue with a . major business.

I've had that issue with more than one major biz. And I was a paying customer having made a civil inquiry about some things that I realized could take some research. Like most people, I did not then put my life on hold waiting for a reply.

Some people have more leisure time than others, perhaps. Takes all kinds to keep the earth in orbit I guess. But, we don't all have the heft and size of say Jupiter, no matter what we think.

I’ve had. With a bank.
That would be unacceptable from a bank or any other business. An email letting you know they needed more time would be better than leaving you hanging.

Most of my emails are answered within 2 business days or an email saying they need more time to research my inquiry. Not hearing anything is unacceptable.

I most certainly have. In many instances, I just never hear back.
That's unacceptable. I am glad the business I deal with don't treat me like that. The only experience I have had that is similar is messaging a seller on eBay and not hearing anything back but that wasn't a major business.

Er, @bauediemauer, shall we say that there is what might have been described as "previous" in the subject matter under discussion: Take a look at a thread with the title "PRSI Forum Discussion" in this very section of the forum for a flavour of what is under discussion, and an explanation as to why replies might just take somewhat longer than otherwise might have been the case.

Considering they joined today...makes one think.

Okay, point taken, but...

Well, I've discussed leather cases for iPhones (at length) on another thread, - as a result of a question asked - and recommended the excellent Spanish company Piel Frama who manufacture handmade leather products for Apple devices and those of other companies - (a topic also discussed at some length with this very poster) so I assumed that the individual in question is at least a serious and genuine poster.

Very well said; and beautifully written.

They would likely have a better response time for legitimate contacts if they weren't bogged down crafting detailed responses to ******** inquiries
And what 8 word asterisk inqueries might those be?

One may use one's imagination. He did not try to circumvent the filters, he let them rip, which is permitted.
Did I ever say ANYTHING about the filters? No, just wondering what ******** inquiries he's thinking of.
