Silly people jobs isnt gunna get u ur computer fixed since he has really nothing to do with it and none of those emails work....

Yes yes i understand its little but it has become a pep peeve to me. I mean if you spend a good amount of money on something you would like it to not have any flaws right?

I know I understand, but do you look at your computer the entire time from the side? :p

No he doesnt have anything to do with it you're right, but he is a big name of the Apple company so you figure he would do something about it for he speaks for the company and he wouldn't want a bad rep (even though one person wouldn't give him a bad rep). One of my professors had a problem with his laptop he emailed him for Applecare didn't help him and he didn't want to drive to the Apple store (i dont know why). A couple weeks later he got a reply and his issue was fixed (i cant recall what his issue was sorry). But ive seen problems be fixed by emailing him.

Actually, I emailed one of them, I forget which at this point, and received a response. It was an email (actually more of a rant, I suppose) regarding my horrible experience at the Apple Store. The day after I emailed sjobs@whichever domain, I received an email from the general manager at the Boylston Street store in Boston (where I had the experience) and he was very upset about my whole experience also, and sent "a token" of his, and Apple's apologies.

No i do not but its just the fact that i know its there is what bugs me. Its like when someone gets a dent in their car they hate it being there, when really they sit inside of the car and drive not outside of it and stare at it.

I couldnt get a good shot of the top separation but it looks just like the lower right one. I know it isnt a HUGE thing but it has become a pep peeve to me and i would like apple to fix this for the fact i paid about 1500$ for a product and monitor trim separation wasn't advertised so i really hope that when i go into the apple store they will deal with this issue unlike Applecare telling me to pay them 650$ to fix it.

I brought mine in for that and they showed me one of theirs that had it and shoved me out the door haha

Did they really? Thats lame, why would they do that its like them shoving you out the door for complaining about slanted keys or something in that manner i mean its not affecting anything but you just would like it to be fixed. Its their defect or issue i was just given it.

he was obviously exaggerating.

As for your problem - it's become obvious now that your issue isn't nearly as pressing as you first made it out to be.

You can go ahead and try a rant to a sjobs email - but I wouldn't really expect anything. Alternatively, just try bringing it into an apple store and see what they say. Be nice and they might help you out.

This looks like one of those cosmetic defects that everyone else won't notice but will drive you nuts. Good luck on getting it fixed.

Also, tell Steve I said "hi."

i inspected it and noticed that part coming out. I know a lot of you are thinking "why didnt you report it right when you saw this" well i was going to but i bought this macbook for school and i figured id go through my first semester then report it (which im doing now) Im on winter break so i thought id get this issue fixed. Ill post pics of it now.

I'm sure Steve will be all over this one. He'll probably drive out from Cupertino to fix it himself.

Also, you should ask for a million dollars as compensation for your troubles. It's only fair. For $1500, you demand perfection!

If he tries to offer you less than a million, tell him you'll sue him for a billion dollars. That way a million will seem like a good deal.

What if that little piece of plastic snagged a sweater or something, you could have a major lawsuit on your hands....:D

You know, they don't reply to every email. Call up and ask for a specialist, explain whatever your problem is.

Just take superglue and glue it down. Why waste gas, effort and time for them to replace something so little like this.

sjobs@apple.com did wonders for me. Replied within 24 hours, on every occasion.

Emailed them like 10pm, woke up to a reply and a phone call 3 hours later with great results.

The only item I would expect to be flawless, is a Rolls, Ferrari, something that's put together by craftmans who are being paid a very, very decent wage.

So wait hes complaining about the bezel not being down all the way   if it is i had to take the little sticky pad off cause the new one i bought wouldnt stay down and i didnt have to glue it or anything.

Well that was my first idea to do that. But then i figured "hey its Apples issue not mine" and at the momment gas is 1.63 the last time i could recall it being this cheap was back in the 90's so why not take advantage of it ;) lol.

Really? It's only $1.65 today at my state.

What do you do that makes it so hard for you to drop off your computer for repairs?

All that needs to be done is to either:

a) squeeze the corner of the bezel
b) peel off the corner and fix the sticky pad underneath

This whole 'entitlement' thing is getting a little tiring. Not just you OP, other threads like this in the recent months.
