I have an abbu backup of contacts that I need to import into my contacts app on mac.

Unfortunately it seems El Capitan dropped abbu support. Every workaround I've found online does not work.

Can anyone help?

I'm not familiar with "abbu backup" but if it allows you to export contacts to the vcard format, then they can be imported directly to your contacts app.

It's ok to import a 'abbu' contacts archive file on my Mac with OS X 10.11.1

El Capitan does not drop abbu support

lucky you. it doesn't work for my coworkers and there are numerous threads online with other people having this issue. hopefully they resolve the bug with a software update soon.
