Contacts from sim onto phone?

I put my wife's sim card from her old Samsung phone into the 3Gs I just bought but I cannot see her contacts. How do I import them onto the phone?

“Settings” -> “Mail, Contacts, Calendar” -> “Import SIM Contacts”

What if I want to copy limited number of selected contacts? How can I do that, as import will import all the contacts, which I do not want.

You'll have to import all and then delete whoever you don't want, as importing all seems to be the only option now.
