After a restore due to battery issues I somehow turned on contacts under iCloud and now my contacts are mixed and doubled with my wife's. is there any way to fix this faster than going through and deleting all of her contacts on my phone 1 by 1? If not, I assume I just flip the contacts switch in the iCloud menu to off and begin deleting? This shouldn't mess with her contacts correct? We share an Apple ID and iCloud ID. Thanks

Invest the time now, split your accounts. With family sharing there's no upside to sharing a single account, it's just a headache, as you're finding out.

Yes it should, one account = one set of Contacts. Apple ID sharing is a terrible idea.
