I am planning on getting the new iPhone and would like to start completely over with my contacts. If I delete all my contacts in my address book and on iCloud will that make it so when I set my phone up with my iTunes account that it will just upload my music and no contacts at all?

And I am also worried about iCloud. My brother decided he was going to sync all his contacts in with mine (on accident) when he was getting my music...so now in both my iCloud and address book have about 300 extra contacts (including most of his FaceBook friends) that I don't want and I already synced my 4s with it not knowing. So I just want to make sure those don't get synced with my new iPhone.

just go to iCloud . com (without the spaces obviously, then use your iTunes log in)

why not simply delete the 300 extra contacts which belong to your brother directly from your iCloud account by logging in it from a regular web browser on your computer?
