My wife has an iPhone 4. Switched last friday to iOS5... everything has been working fine and syncing fine with iCloud until today.

When she tried to make a call from her contacts, it was empty. If she goes to favorites or recent call, it shows the contact like it is supposed too.

I went to iCloud.com and checked and it shows her contacts in the address book.

Any ideas here?

TIA

That happened to me.

I just went into Settings > iCloud and then turned syncing contacts off and they re-appeared on the phone. They are still on my MAC too, but i guess it may not sync any new contacts.

It must be a bug.
