Contacts - Part of MobileMe Free Version?

My MobileMe account expired last week. I just logged in to see the status of my account and as expected, Calendar, Gallery, and iDisk are all blacked out an not accessible, with find my Phone still enabled. But oddly enough, the contacts still function as normal.

Either this is a result of my account being in purgatory for the moment, or contact syncing is part of/will be part of MobileMe for free. That's my take anyway.

I thought they give you two weeks or something like that in which you have access to certain areas of your account and if you renew in that time everything goes back to normal.

Mobileme help page on apple.com says this:

'If you renew within 15 days of the subscription expiration date, you can also still access all your MobileMe information (such as published Gallery albums or files stored on your iDisk). After 15 days, your MobileMe information is no longer available.'
