I have searched the forums and it doesn't look like this is possible but I wanted to make sure. I want to be able to sync between my iphone, google, and outlook contacts. I currently have my iphone set up to sync to google and set up itunes to sync with outlook. I was hoping that any changes I made in outlook would then sync with my iphone and also google (and vice versa). However, it looks like on my iphone I now have two separate contact groups "From my PC" and Google.

Is what I am asking for impossible?

    I'm in the same boat

Yeah, I was hoping to do the same thing.
I returned my Palm Pre because the Sprint service was so bad. But, this is one thing the Pre did very well. Like the iPhone it had a dedicated Exchange connection. But in addition it also had a special Gmail interface that allowed google mail, calendar and contacts to push to the Pre. It kept all the calendar and contacts seperate, but you could merge them if you wanted.

I assumed the iPhone could do the same, but I don't see how.
I even signed up for a trial MobilMe account. This let me do a one time pull from my Google contacts (sans pictures) but that was all.
Plus, the popup notifications for email were done much better on the Pre.

I really thought the iPhone could do all this, but I have been unable to get it to work.

Thanks for the tip tboooe. But for me, this isn't quite what I want to do.
I want to be able to seperately sync my personal contacts in my Gmail account and also my work contacts on our Exchange server.

m.google.com works very well for the Google contacts, but it uses the single Exchange link that the iPhone offers. I need that for my work email & contacts.

    Sync with Outlook

On the subject of sync'ing with Outlook. 3.0 put a phone field called iPhone, which is kind of neat. How do I sync that with a field in Outlook? Is this a mapping issue?

Plaxo has been working great for me, but they're about to start charging 50 bucks a year.
