i am cool with everything but this is the worst! Ads, ads everywhere. I forgot how bad sites were with adds, including this one. Ugh!

Tapatalk Pro works well for surfing the forums with no ads. As to Safari and Chrome surfing, I can relate. It would have been nice if Apple had included a content blocker option in the new iOS.

I hope 1Blocker updates for iOS 11 quick so I can block ads in Safari again!

The release notes mention that updating content blockers takes up more memory than usual and that the app might run into the memory cap.

Short version: you can’t have as many rules selected.

With Adguard, it seems the best way in order to still get as much blocked as possible is to select Easylist and Fanboy’s Social Blocking List. Once only those two are selected it works, no matter what else I select makes it stop working again.

Tested on both 7 Plus and iPad Pro9.7, and working on both.

I should have paid attention. I did that and add are blocked again. Excellent. Makes things much nicer!

Adblock... It works as always, and not only in Safari. Filtering on-device and it doesn’t have that obtrusive VPN text always showing, as Adguard Pro.

+1 - I figured this out on my own, choosing those very two Lists with Adguard Pro. I tried a delete and reinstall first before trying out ^this^ with success. I was able to get a third one to load at the same time as well - the Adblock Warning Removal List.

As others have noted these instructions from Soy helped me as well. This was the only ad blocker config I could get working. I'm happy that it did because it would be a deal breaker for me trying out iOS 11. Otherwise, I would have quickly gone back to iOS 10. It's amazing how slow ads make major websites feel in Safari.

Gonna give iOS 11 one more day to evaluate and then see if I want to roll it back. Little chunkiness in the UI at times but nothing too terrible. Takes a little getting use to with the new UI, especially the redesigned control center and multitasking. For better or worse, it makes you rethink how to use and even hold the iPad.

Yes, that's how both beta testing and fan sites work.

Not only will there be several other IOS 11 beta versions but I'd be surprised if many, many applications get updated to either work with or take advantage of IOS 11 features. We are several months away from the final versions of stuff.

Adguard trick isn't working for me. Did nothing but Easylist and Fanboy, and ads are still everywhere like cockroaches running around. It's terrible, not even bothering to use my phone for the web until this is fixed.

Uninstall all ad blockers. Clean cache. Reboot. It worked for me.

This week I got tired of Safari’s inability to properly remove history and website data and decided to give this web browser a try (they make a different one for the iPhone). The menu bar could maybe use a little UI update, but so far I’m loving it. There are lots of customization options in settings, and Ad block is built into the browser. Oh, and i can actually start a video on YouTube and open another tab without the video stopping again! Remember when you could do that Safari?
