I am using the Safari on my iPhone, but the Mac thinks I am using Firefox.

Why? Just because I am using the Firefox on my Mac, that doesn't mean I am using it on Safari also.

do you have firefox as the default browser on your mac? make sure safari is set as default...

EDIT: or perhaps i misunderstood. if firefox is your browser on the mac, that's what you're seeing in the dock....

what happens if you share a web address from the phone to the mac; does it open in firefox?
