How is this case compared to the Otterbox defender?

In terms of protection? Obviously not quite as good but still good enough for most situations.
In terms of bulk/weight? Vastly superior. I have the OB Defender myself and that is TOO big to be an everyday kind of case unless you work at a construction site or something and need that mental insurance for your phone. The Showcase is a good middle ground between a Defender and a "normal" case I guess. Like I said, it'll probably be too bulky for most people but I think it does a great job of looking nice and being very protective.

nice review....not sure i like the back of the case...something just looks off.

I actually like the back the most. All Contour Showcases have that clear back look to them which I think is nice. I do think they went a little crazy with the camera cutout as it's not the normal look one is accustomed to. But it works so no flash issues I guess is the main thing.

I've laid bricks smaller than this But thanks for sharing your informative review and pics
Great job

Tis true. Not the slimmest of cases out there but, of the bulkier ones out there, I think this is the nicest middle ground one can find in terms of looks/protection.

I found this case at my Apple Store and I love it. I had it for my 3G and 3GS and I am extremely happy with it.

I just got the Contour Showcase for my iPhone 4. After two hours of use I have decided that I will return tomorrow.

Couple of flaws...

1) The holster sucks. If you jump hard enough the whole phone and holster fly's out of your belt.
2) The case itself is not as study as I thought. It was a lot better on my 3G...

Number 1 was the main reason I returned mine. I loved the case, but the holster was the worse and I could not trust it at all. I definitely do not believe that this case is worth $40 at all.

you guys might have bought some faulty ones, mine has been fine. to the other post, I don't know why you'd be jumping with the phone unless you're running away from something/someone. lol

I'm going to give them another shot. You may have a valid point.

Thanks for the pictures and review, although it's not quite my thing ;p
Bit too bulky for me, although having said that, it definitely seems to provide the level of protection that some people require

I just picked up may case last week. I have the White Front and back on my iPhone 4. The corner of the case doesn't close all the way and actually causes a problem with the proximity sensor on calls.

I have a Power Suppor tHd anti-glare film on mine..... Anyone try any other screen protectors that may work better or are thinner? I'm thinking about putting the Zagg one back on.

Thanks for the review. Looks like an interesting case. I would like it if the case had a built in screen protector and dock covers. That way it would be a nice case to easily stick your phone into for complete protection.
