I am able to control my Apple TV's, Homepods, and iPhone media that is playing from my Apple Watch (Play/Pause, Skip, Volume), but not my iPad.

I used to have Spotify which allowed me to access media controls on my iPhone/Apple watch to any device that is logged in to the account.

Huge bummer, anyone know a work around to control an iPad besides using Hey Siri.

At work, we use my iPad to play music since the radio can be a huge bore. It's annoying to have to get up to change the volume/media.

Thanks for any input.

I've noticed that same issue. There's no way of doing it that I know of, but as you mentioned Spotify would work.

Until Apple ports Apple Watch app to iPad, I doubt controlling Apple Music music playback on iPad from Apple Watch will ever happen.
Third-party apps might work differently.
