OMG I can't believe I've bought logmein app for £20 only to find I then have to pay for a subcription to use all its features

I feel so conned!! maybe its in the small print some where but I certainly didn't see it - I went for the more expensive version (over screens and some others) to get the file transfer function too only to find that that's what I have to pay a subscription for - buyers beware!!!

I got a "free" subscription to Parallels Access when I purchased Parallels needed for work. It works very well. Not sure how much it costs when purchased independent of parallels, but it does work great.

----------

Forgot to mention that I used Logmein in the past; I found it to be slow and somewhat unreliable at times. It had trouble establishing and maintaining a connection to the target computer.

Is it for life or for a year?
I'm thinking of getting Parallels (for VMs)

I have Parallels Access and it's $20 a year, I got a groupon or some sort of other deal and I'm in $15 for the year, after which it will go to regular price.

Parallels

I just wanted to chime in about this. I have used two of these programs, iTeleport and Parallels.

I used iTeleport for awhile, it works well, and even has an Mac App Store app to allow remote control from a computer, as well as an ipad/iphone. Works well unless google (which must be used as a login to connect you to your computer, no other email address is allowed.) The one time fee is nice, vs Parallels. Also, the apps for Mac App store/iOS tend to come on sale from time to time, it may be worth waiting for a deal if you have other remote apps already.

Parallels is my prefered choice, as it reworks the resolution and screen to better fit an iPad. It will also transmit sound, which I don't think iTeleport does. It is an annual fee, but I think it is worth it for my uses. (FYI, at the release of parallels the access fee was per computer, but they changed later to multiple computers and lowered the fee. Some online reviews may reference the original fees vs the current annual fee.)
