Controlling an Android tablet remotely?

Is there a way to control an Android tablet remotely to play music or videos? I'd like to put one in a baby's room and use it to play music and possibly video.

Try BubbleUPnP free then pay for license unlock if you like it. It allows you to stream audio or video from any device to another device.

Grab a Chromecast Audio and some cheap speakers to plug into it. Of course, that doesn't satisfy the video request but it's cheaper than buying a tablet.
