I'm looking to control my homePod from my iPhone. I see the Home app, but that only lets me pause/resume music. Is there a app that will let me change the volume , select different song or stations etc.?

If you force touch/hold down on the playback tile in the Control Center while in the same network as the HomePod, it will bring up an extra widget for the HomePod to control the native playback on it. You can also press on its album art to get to the music app and (I believe) control the native playback from there, select songs/albums/etc. to natively play (not just via AirPlay, it should show HomePod in the playback interface of the Music app).

Thx that doesnt work for me. When I force touch the Home app in the control center up the HomePod display. i should add that I'm stream from my Mac rather than My iPhone.

If you’re streaming from your Mac, you need to control playback from your Mac. If you want to control the music from your phone, stream from your phone.

Thanks. Kind of a poor design feature on Apple part.

You can control the HomePod via the music app. You can airplay to it of course but if you scroll up you can set it to the source.

Other devices can be used to select it and adjust it (within reason).

Same applies to the Mac, just switch to your HomePod in the AirPlay selection and it will show you what is playing.

Volume adjustment can be done from any device and changes are reflected on other devices. Implementation is very good IMO.

The Apple iTunes Remote app will do this. Select your Mac as the source then AirPlay it to your HomePod. You can select albums, songs, etc. and control the volume.
