Hi guys,

Here's my setup at home. In my bedroom, I have speaker cables that come out of the wall that connect to ceiling mounted speakers in the bathroom and bedroom. Is there any way I can set up a wireless system that would allow me to have my iPad control what type of music (via AirPlay maybe) plays through the speakers, as well as in what area the music is played (i.e. bathroom AND bedroom, only bedroom, only bathroom)

I'm assuming I would need a receiver, not just AirPlay enabled speakers, since I HAVE the speaker component. Do you understand?

So basically the speaker cables coming out of the wall are still just very raw.. its just the cables, so I would need a receiver. etc etc.

Thanks!

You could achieve this with an Airport Express. You plug it into a wall socket and it'll wireless stream the music out over a minijack port on the bottom of it. With several of these dotted around the house, you can choose which one to stream to. Works with iTunes on the Mac/PC, iPhone, or iPad. If you're after more info, it's called AirTunes.
