I am prototyping a iPhone application.

One of the things I would like to do is enable / disable the WiFi network or Bluetooth from within the application. Is it possible to control the hardware from the iPhone app?

I have the Beginning iPhone Development (Mark LaMarche) book to help me get started with iPhone development. However, I didn't see anything about controlling the hardware within that book.

If this is possible, any example code would be great.

Actually, it is possible to turn Bluetooth on or off in an app, only I found that Apple forbids it. You can't do it with the frameworks supplied, but can with private frameworks, but Apple's unlikely to approve it.

I looked down this route when I got fed up having to turn it on and off to get in my car.

What about automatically pulling up the settings page where you can enable and disable it?
