convering mkv to mpeg2 video

How can i convert a mkv video with subs to mpeg2 so i can see it on my desktop dvd player? I want to make VIDOE_TS and AUDIO_TS folders i guess!!!

You could use Hanbrake to convert it and use Quicktime, iTunes, Front Row or VLC to watch it?

Ok i know but i want, to be able to see it on my dvd player! So it must be converted to VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders!

...can toast make the conversion and add the subtitles of my choice?
