    Hello there,

I'm setting up my IMAP account (from Fastmail) but I can't get to make the conversation view work. It works for my gmail account but not for Fastmail. Is there anything I have to do (apart from enabling that in Settings.app).

    Thanks!

I've been running more tests and the current behavior is really weird. It does work the conversation thread but it only lists the received messages. So let's say i'm having a conversation with two people:

    -msg received from #1
    -I reply
    -msg received from #2
    -I reply
    -msg received from #3
    -I reply

Usually the thred would have six emails, including my answers. But Mail is only displaying the received emails, so it only displays 3 messages.

    Is this the expected behavior?

Yes, that is the expected behavior that you are seeing.

Mail supports threaded view rather than conversation view--the difference essentially being that your sent messages aren't included in thread view (while they are typically included in conversation view).

These are more or less standard definitions, although at times different providers use them differently too, so there can be even more confusion from that.
