Does anyone have a good program on Mac OS X to do this? I have a program called Moyea that does just this but has a max of 578kbs. I can't for the life of me find a program that does this to 640.

Handbrake appears to do it but you have to encode the entire movie. I am looking for a quick few minute process.

    Thanks

I tried this last night but it did not appear to work (at least as MKV source). Thanks for the suggestion. Any other ideas?

IVI (in Mac App Store) can do video pass thru and convert dts to ac3.

Try Subler - Free, works great for me to transcode mkv's with dt2 or AC3 audio to AAC and passes thru the video, so quick and no video quality loss.

It was originally more for subtitles, but does a lot more now

Thanks, I have IVI and Subler and have used for years. MP4 tools ended up working after all. With Subler audio was becoming out of sync and IVI wouldn't force a pass through and needed video conversion. MP4 tools did work with mkv files at 640kbs for reference if anyone needs this information.

The application "remux" is also great. Not all the funktions of Mp4tools, but easier to use, can batch convert and is free.

I converted my entire MKV library to MP4 with MP4Tools. I don't think MP4Tools is the problem.

Subler, for example, allows to pass DTS track through into MP4 file.
