[ignore]The DVD standard is 720X480i, if you want 720p you need either an upconverting DVD player or a DivX-HD player (or an HD-DVD/BluRay player).[/ignore]
I do have a HDTV and a DVD player that is upconverting. However I want to convert to a 720p file, such as a quicktime file. Any programs you know that would do that?

Why would you want to do such a thing? All it would accomplish is a larger video file, no visual quality increase. Out of curiosity, why do you want to convert them to 720p, to watch on AppleTV? If that is the case just convert them in their native resolution with handbrake/medafork and let AppleTV upconvert the videos.
