Is there any easy-to-use software that allows you to convert ePub ebooks into PDF format? I want to keep the ePub version of the ebook on my Mac because I can read it well there, but I also want to use LiquidText, which needs a PDF, so what is the best way of converting ePub to PDF on macOS?

As @Smaugg said - Calibre for the only win.

It may not win any prizes for looks, but it's packed with more features than you can shake a stick at...

Calibre is great. I've used it for years. It not only converts to PDF but to mobi (Kindle), and MS Word.

Awesome. Thank you both for that.

I use Calibre a lot to store and organize my epub books. However I never liked the conversion to pdf; the end result never looks that good to me. (If not mistaken the internal epub links are not preserved either.)

Because of that I prefer to use an online converter. There are plenty for you to try and see which makes a better conversion. I’ve been using Convertio.

I'll have a play around with Calibre, and if it looks terrible, I'll try something else, but the only thing I want to do is convert them into PDF and then use LiquidText to take notes. If that doesn't work out, I'll try out some of the web services. Thank you.

If I am fussy about how I want the PDF to look like I convert the epub to MS Word, then make my adjustments in the DOCX and PDF it when I am happy with it.
