devnill macrumors newbie Sep 23, 2008 #3 flv conversion any good? You can try ffmpegX I know it can convert flv to mp4 etc. Not too sure about swf you may need to convert it to intermediate format first.

Thanks Click to expand... unless I'm wrong: you can't convert a .swf file, you have to extract the .flv out of the .swf then convert the .flv to .mov

TheReef macrumors 68000 Sep 23, 2008 #5 If it's a one off, you could download the trial version of Flash, import the .swf into the timeline, then export to quicktime from there. Ensure you have set the correct resolution of project AND the same in the export options.

wrldwzrd89 macrumors G5 Nov 13, 2009 #7 The method I use is this: Play the Flash file in Eltima's SWF & FLV Player. Capture it playing with Ambrosia's Snapz Pro X. Save the capture as a .MOV file. This works, but it tends to produce huge files.
