Convert to tif

Hey, does anyone know of an application that can convert a png or jpg to a tif file?

Preview should do the job for you. Open it with that and then do a Save As. Choose the format that you want.

I just looked at the choice of formats, tif isn't there, the closest one is a tiff.

No, it doesn't just change the extension. Preview is a fairly powerful tool.

I'm confused, I'm working on changing the airport icons that show up in my menu bar, I was told that if I want the color to show up that I need to make them tif files, I did that but not I don't even see the icon in my menu bar, theres just a blank space.
