convert .vob to .mov for YouTube

Using my panasonic DVD recorder, I've created a DVD of some home movies. Now I would like to convert these files in the video_TS folder on the DVD to a .mov or .mpg file so that I can upload to YouTube.

What is the best approach to do this?
 
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend VisualHub to basically convert almost any format to almost any other format. I had reason to try it recently and was well impressed with its performance.
