I used quicktime to convert and compress a .avi video into a h.264 video. It compressed from 700mb to 200mb with the same quality, but the only problem is that when i try to sync it to my ipod touch it says that this video is not compatible. it has the .m4v extension? But when i convert it using the iphone preset it works fine, but it is 600 mb? Does any one know what is going on?

I think it cut out the video, that's what happened to me. It made a 900 MB video 130 MB... audio only.

Same thing with what happened to me, for some odd reason. The iPod Touch didn't recognize it as .mp4 at first.
