Converting a movie?

I downloaded a movie thats around 2 hours long in .flv format. I need to get it into whatever file would work in itunes which is i think .mp4. Is there a free converter that will do the trick for me? all help is appreciated, thank you

thanks for the quick response, im trying out MPEG Streamclip as we speak but its taking awhile for the movie to load... is it becuase of the movies size?

I don't know, as I don't know the size or the specs of your computer, unless you have that PowerBook G4, which is slow for today's standards. 😉

.flv files are highly compressed Flash Video files using the H264 codec, thus it takes a while, especially if the file holds a two hour movie.

dont worry im on a month old Mac Book Pro 15inch with 2.53 GHz. i still have that PowerBook G4... hehe. but ill tell you if it works or if i stumble upon any problems
