Greetings,

I just started helping out with computer stuff at the non-profit I work for. I'm not super advanced regarding tech knowledge but am doing what I can. :)

They have a mac pro that was once used as a server. I'm not sure what kind of server it was being used as. I'm looking to turn this once server back into a regular desktop. But am not sure as to how to proceed. Do I just do a clean install of the current operating system?

Sorry for the lack of needed info. Let me know if there are other questions I could answer to help with.

Thanks!
Bjork

Question, why are you "helping out" if you have no idea what you are doing? It probably would have the same result as those people who don't know where they are and give bad directions so they can be "helpful", instead of saying, "I don't know how to do that."

By chance does this employer have proper IT staff?

You didn't mention it, and just wondering if they are trying to get away with not having any, or hiring an IT consultant who would work on-site.
