Hey,
Apologies if this has been asked before - I have searched here and google but can't seem to find an answer.
Is there a way within Aperture to convert files to a more compressed format (i.e. from RAW to JPEG) - without loosing your aperture-specific properties on the image - like albums, ratings, etc.?
I shoot everything in RAW which takes up a considerable amount of HD space... I have gotten in the habit of exporting the pictures that I don't mind compressing (usually just to JPEG) then re-importing them. This seems like a bit of a redundant process just to get a smaller file size, and often times I've already added the image to a few albums / rated it which obviously is all lost on the export.
Is there a way to convert it within aperture - or does anyone have a better process/workaround for reducing these file sizes?
