Converting DVDs to iPod...

Hello everybody,

I know pretty much nothing on the subject...I would need your help.
I have a MacBook (2007, 2.4GHz) with sw 10.5.8. I would like to convert a few DVDs for my iPod nano (early 2009 edition, the one without camera).

What's the best/easiest/cheapest way of doing it?
What are the recommended settings?

MacTheRipper / RipIt / Fairmount to copy the DVD to your HDD (and also remove the copyright protection).

Handbrake to encode the DVD to a format your iPod understands. There is even a preset for that.
