converting Illustrator file into a curved file

Hi,

I have designed a logo in illustrator but need to convert the file from a font etc to a curved file so everything is made up of curves as I need to send a copy to a friend how doesn't have the font I have.

How would I do this?

There's a command in illustrator that converts font to path, It's under "type" > "Create outlines".
