Hi

I have a fairly large music library which took me months to rip and catalogue. I'm wanting to convert these from AIFF to ALAC as I can't hear any difference and I want to save space and back up time.

Is there an easy way for me to use iTunes or something else to send this AIFF library onto an HDD and during the process convert them to ALAC?

Thank you for your help

Thank you Jjayf. There's a lot of stuff there and a fair bit seems beyond my capabilities TBH but there are some good points raised. I will need to ponder it some more.

Well you could copy the library to iTunes, batch convert to ALAC, and then copy the files on you HD?

Thanks. I have sorted it by the above suggestions. I was probably getting a bit carried away. :)
