Hello, i need some help and quick if possible.

I have a windows XP laptop with an AV input where i have recorded my whole media Project to.

It has saved all this as MPEG-2

Apple charge for there MPEG-2 codec

i have no money

please can anyone point me into the right direction on where i can get a FREE converted where i will not loose video quality.

i need help asap.

afaik you can use "HandBrake" to convert the file

i believe you can also try iMovie
 
Recently I recieved some .MOD files that I think were actually mpeg 2 that were created on a PC. I was able to convert them to Mp4 and import into iMovie with Video Monkey. This is the open source program that replaced Visual Hub after developers ceased development. Give it a try and let me know it you were successful. The setting I used was for Apple TV.
