I have about 150 .nif (camera raw) photos that I want to convert to .jpg any ideas on how I can do this? I tried using automator, but it doesnt recognize .nif so it never converted.

I tried simply deleting the .nif from the end, and adding .jpg, but when I did this, it resized the pic from 3000x1962 to something like 100x70, which I thought was really weird.... so that doesnt work. Any thoughts? Oh, and I also tried importing them into iPhoto, but again, it resized them very small.

You need to do some serious processing to get a raw to a non raw format it's not a matter of just changing the extension.

You could download a trial version of Nikon Capture which will sort you out and lasts for 30 days.

Or you could do it in Photoshop if you have it. You'll need to download the Adobe DNG converter.
