Hello.
I was wondering if there was any sort of application that would allow me to convert some rmvb files into mpeg4 files (or anyother file iMovie HD will support).

iSquint will convert pretty much anything you throw at it....except for rmvb files.

haven't come across anything that can do it yet.

Yeah, I've yet to find anything that will do it either. Shame, cause all my Family Guy/South Park are in rm/rmvb/rv form.

I am glad that Real Player went Universal, at least they're still making a usable product unlike MS who I'm going to bet won't be building WMP10 capabilities into Flip4Mac anytime soon.

I have also tried Toast 7 Titanium, FFMPEGX, and thats about it.

But none of those programs have the support to convert .rmvb.

There's a Quicktime plugin for RM files (I use it to convert from .mov->.rm). I don't know if it works the other way around, but I can try later tonight. The plu-in is free, but you need to be upgraded to QTPro to use it.
