Converting VIDEO_TS folders into one file

    hi, i'm a recent mac convert and i have no idea how to convert "VIDEO_TS" folders that come from dvds into a single movie file (preferably .avi). does anybody have any suggestions on what software is best suited for this scenario?

    does handbrake also work for other types of files together (say, a batch of .m4v files)?
