Apparently youtube has changed their video formats in such a way that makes many of the previously popular conversion/download applications useless. I've been dabbling with different types of software/applications the past few days (such as VDownloader, Video Downloader, media pirate) and have found all of these to be ineffective.

Does anyone know of any methods of conversion which still work?

any windows applications which still work? (waiting for the MBP u see below :)) it seems like every single application/website which requires you to copy the URL of the video and then download does not work any more.

i reallly want to put my youtube playlists on my ipod, because i tend to prefer listening to random acoustic covers by aspiring artists; which you can not get anywhere else.
