Ugh. I had a white iPad 2, and it was fine, but after panicking today and picking a white iPad (3), I am regretting it a bit.

So change my mind please.

I loved my white iPad 2, so I picked up another White iPad. It's a lot more unique, mainly because less people pick up the white one. Plus, it'll make the screen look better instead of fading to black (I never really liked that much on my MBP anyway). If you like the MBP glossy style screen, then you'd like the black more. If you like matte style screens, you'll like the white more.

During checkout earlier I almost ordered it in white but am glad I didnt.

My iPad one was obviously in black and my iPhone 4 is in black, alongside my MBP. Iono, I like all my Apple devices to be the same color. But like I mentioned in my first line, I did almost order the white iPad. I see many people on campus with white and black iOS devices, but for me, personally, black is for me.

Can't wait to get it.

Now all I need is an HD MBP.

I ordered a black one for the same reason that most TVs have a black bezel around them. Also, my iMac has a black bezel around the screen. As Puckhead193 pointed out it's distracting to have a white bezeled iPad. I must admit that a white iPad with a red cover would look pretty good but only when the iPad is turned off … lol and imo.

Seconded.

For some reason, I read, "lol and imo", as "lol and emo".:D Need more coffee.

How hard would it be to change the iPad to the black one once the pre-order is actually processed? I wonder if it would increase the time of delivery or if it would not matter?

Black iPhone 3G, iPad 1, iPhone 4

White iPad 3 --- Felt like the time was right to switch it up a bit. The black bezel always made the black screen while it was off seem washed out. Hoping the white makes the darks appear crisper and deeper.

Had iPad gen 1 in black, iPad 2 in white. Just ordered 3rd gen white. Here are my observations:

1. Fingerprints. Black one showed them to the extreme. I'm a bit OCD and this drove me crazy. White is not nearly as bad in this regard.

2. Black bezel seems to fade away when watching videos. White is not distracting to me but might bother some.

3. Black seems to be predominant choice - there seem to be many more of them around. This might(?) mean black would have easier resale? I don't know.

Arguments 2 and 3 don't outweigh the fingerprint annoyance for me so I stuck with the white.

Solar loading...

White reflects sunlight better, black overheats faster, overall it's a window so best to keep it out of the sun anyways.
