Coolpix S220 flickering screen

My wife has a Nikon Coolpix S220. She hadn't used it for a few weeks, so we charged up the battery. When we turned the camera on, it comes on and lens extends, but the entire screen flickers and has all kinds of weird lines running through it.

So, uhh... anyone have any idea how to fix it?
