COPS Reset

Is there any kind of audible or visible reset that a COPS reset (resetting the PMU for battery or fan issues) has taken place? I tried it based on the Apple instructions and I did not notice anything happen that would let me know that I got it right.

No audible tone for the SMC/PMU reset. Just don't keep hitting the power button with control, option and shift held down. Could cause more harm than good.
